This week I want to continue our conversation about love and peace in our world, while also honoring August as the month for practicing the power of Will. In a previous blog post I discussed the High Calling of Love, and invited you to come into a fuller understanding that love in the heart, opens the eyes to see the opportunity for love, loveliness and loving-kindness everywhere, in everyone, all the time. As we now introduce the power of Will into the conversation about love and peace we see that the power of Will enables us to take responsibility and be response-able for the Love and Peace in our lives. Responsibility can be an intimidating word, for many representing the prospect of challenge and change. I like to think of being responsible as a natural extension of being response-able. We are each blessed with the Divine Christ image and likeness, presence and power, as our eternal and infinite Divine potential. The Divine Christ shows up in us as twelve faculties, abilities and powers. As we explore, experience and express these, we bring into greater unfolding our individual inherent Christ-ness. We show up by taking responsibility, because we are blessed in Christ with the response-ability of the Twelve Powers. The power of Will is our ability to decide, commit and to execute. Being responsible for ourselves and taking responsibility for our life experiences requires us to be willful and be willing to decide for, dedicate and devote ourselves to Divine truth, make decisions and take actions that are aligned with Divine truth, and thereby demonstrate the responsibility and response-ability for manifesting our Divine good. We are called to be responsible because we are blessed to be response-able. The Christ truth within is the seed for the Christ good without. When we willingly and willfully decide, devote and disciple ourselves to Divine truth we nourish and nurture it into spiritual maturity and manifestation in our lives. Herein is the realization of Divine Principle of the Christ Love and Peace in us and the Divine purpose of the Christ Love and Peace in our lives and in the world today. Let us, by the power of Will, decide and commit to take responsibility and be response-able for the Divine Principle and the Divine Purpose of the Christ Love and Peace in us, in our lives, and through us, in the world today!
