Intention 2021: Insight & Inspiration for a New Year! The Principle and Practice of Equality and Equity for All. Today we continue our consideration and commitment to Intention 2021, a decision and determination to living intentionally with greater integrity and authenticity in this new year. In this reflection, we will honor and celebrate February as Black History Month and explore a deeper understanding and commitment to equality and equity as the principle and practice of what is true, right, and good and path to the greater common and collective good of all. Again, as we do now every time we take time to consider a principle and practice for living with self-determined intention in 2021, we begin with a reminder of the big why for Intention 2021; why we’re doing this? We affirm again our desire to live with greater intentional responsibility and response-ability for ourselves, the family of humanity, and the world we create and co-create together. To this end, we acknowledge the realization that the truth, right, and good we desire in our lives, and our world, begins with us, with the consciousness of such in us individually, and the demonstration and material manifestation of that consciousness through our intentional thoughts, words, and actions. Desmond Tutu is quoted as saying: “My humanity is bound up in yours, because we can only be human together.” When we live in sense consciousness, in the consciousness of ego and separation, we see only that which distinguishes and discriminates us from each other. We see only our apparent and superficial differences; we only see ourselves in comparison and in competition with each other. When we take time daily to connect with our expanded awareness of spirit, and live open, whole, and heart-centered from the spiritual awareness of oneness with each other and all things, we no longer see apparently and superficially; we no longer see only that which distinguishes and discriminates us; we don’t live in the scarcity of comparison, competition, and conflict, we live in the union and unity of abundant oneness, connected in the common bond of our humanity, collaborating in the common aspiration of our divinity, holding each and all in the hope of a greater individual and collective truth, right, and good, for one and all. In the words of an old African proverb: “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.” A reminder again today that your decision and determination to live with greater intentional integrity and authenticity in 2021 is a blessing to us all. Your consciousness is a contribution to the collective consciousness of humanity and a contribution to the collective and common good of all. When you take time to affirm what true, right, good in you and your life, you bless the family of humanity with the consciousness, condition, and circumstance of that same truth, right, and good, a true treasure and blessing for one and all. Take time to be relaxed, quiet, calm, and sit in contemplation and reflection of this insight and inspiration. Be open-hearted to the revealing of your own knowing and understanding. Connect, communicate, and collaborate with any insight and inspiration that comes to you. Be open to the intention of integrating your expanding awareness of what’s true, right, and good into yourself, your life, and our world.
