Peace in the heart enables peace in the home, the community, and empowers peace in the world. The power of peace to transform us and our world begins with us and expresses through us individually and collectively, to the blessing of all. “Until world peace is based on the Divine law of love and law incorporated into the pact of peace as well as into the minds of those who sign the pact, there will be no permanent peace. “ Charles Fillmore The events of the past year have brought to the mind and heart of many the need for peace in our lives. In New Thought spiritual philosophy we believe that a material condition in the world is preceded by its consciousness in the mind and hearts of humanity: as we think, as we feel, as we speak, and as we do, so it is for us in our lives individually and in our world collectively. Again, peace in our lives and in our collective world begins with peace in our individual minds and hearts, and that quest begins with me and you. Peace is the result of a mind and heart that has been prepared and seeded with love. Love is the ability and power to desire and attract us to Divine truth and to bring us more fully into union and harmony with Divine good. Love opens our awareness to our oneness with the Divine as our collective source and supply of good and our oneness with each other. In the union and harmony of love, there is no separation with truth, no scarcity of good, in love we are in contact and communion with the collective All, cooperating and collaborating to co-create a world of good that works for the one, and the all. In love, we are Divinely one and whole again, spiritually, mentally, and physically holy (whole), healthy and happy. It is in love that we are to explore, experience, and express our infinite capacity for authentic individual and collective peace. The healing power of love brings us into ease and grace. The opposite of love is hate, and hate separates us from our Divine truth and good. Fear seeds anger, and anger is the mother of hate. Hate destroys our connection to Divine wholeness, health, and happiness and shows up in us and our lives as dis-ease and dis-grace in every dimension of our individual humanity and every aspect of our collective world. In all things, the universal spiritual law of the harvest, of reaping what we sow, again serves our higher desire for peace in the world. It is the conscious and intentional sowing of the seed of love, in the thoughts of our mind, and the feelings of our heart, that produces the flowering of the truth of love in what we say and do, and thereby and then, the harvesting of peace in our lives and in the world. In the sowing of love we produce the flower of truth, right, and good, and reap the harvest of peace.
