This week I return to a topic that is ever dear to my heart: the power of true love to free our minds of preconceived errors and liberate us to see, be, and do what is true, right, and good in the world. In New Thought spiritual philosophy we consider the Christ to be the highest Divine Ideal for humanity, for each of us individually and for the family of humanity, collectively. In the consciousness of the Christ we are open-minded and open-hearted to Divine insight and inspiration which enables and empowers us to be and behave Christ-like, from the recognition and realization of our own indwelling Christ-ness. In New Thought spiritual philosophy we understand the Divine Christ to be the Sacred-Self, that universal and higher Self that is attuned and aligned in consciousness with the image and likeness, presence, and power of the Divine in each and every human being, regardless of race, culture, religious creed, gender, or gender orientation. The universal Divine Ideal of the Christ is uniquely individualized in us, personalized, and personified as us. When we be and behave from the consciousness of the Divine Christ, our Christ-ness, we experience and express our Divine Ideal, attuned and aligned with what is Divinely true, right, and good, and enabled and empowered to be the very best of ourselves as individual human beings, and collectively as the family of humanity. Love is the guiding principle of the Christ, and it is love that we are called to practice in the discipleship of our Christ-ness. In the words of Jesus of Nazareth according to the writings of the Apostle John: Love one another. As I have loved you. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples if you love one another. On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you. Love is the principle and practice that empowers us in the recognition and realization of oneness, union, and unity. Love brings us into conscious awareness that we are one with the Divine, in union with our Divine Christ, and in our Christ-ness in unity with all that is the family of humanity. When we love we fulfill the appointed and anointed purpose of the Divine Christ, blessing ourselves, each other, and our world with the fullness of the grace and good of the Divine in all that is true, right, and good. I’m inspired to live more fully this week in and from my Christ-ness, as an advocate and activist for love in my life, and in my world; as a first responder for love and loving-kindness as I interact daily with the experience of life and living. I hope you will feel the same. Let this be; And so it is! For more detailed info on the lesson content of this blog or any other Unity Magna Ministries services contact Rev.
